About me

I’m Gill, a mum of two living in North Leeds, with a deep passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and empowering the families who care for them.

With over 22 years of experience as a teacher, 20 years as a school leader and 18 years working as both a SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead, I bring extensive expertise across primary education and the SEND landscape. My background includes specialist knowledge in dyslexia, speech and language, autism, and Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA), enabling me to offer guidance that is both compassionate and highly informed.

At SEND North Leeds, my mission is to provide dedicated, personalised support for children and families. Whether you’re navigating the SEND or EHCP process, seeking screening, or in need of professional advocacy, I’m here to help you feel confident, heard, and supported at every stage of the journey.
